Man has this been a busy month. I have allowed myself to get too busy. I have neglected my prayer life, my quality time with my wife, my kids, and more importantly, God. I have watched my wife pursue her relationship with God with diligence this past week and makes me ache to get there myself.
We have been focusing on different aspects of our relationship with God and the past few were about Scripture study, Worship, and Prayer. I have seen that being a Godly man/family takes great determination that is why I have decided to take my wife away for the weekend. I know your thinking how does that get you closer to God? Well let me tell you.
My wife doesn't know where we are going yet so unless she reads this no one tell her. I have decided we need to spiritually recharge our lives and our family. We will spend two days in Petite Jean and we will be doing things like taking a nature/prayer walk with God where we will praise God with our prayers. We will read scripture together and pray together. We will spend time in meditation and practice listening to God. We are going to realign our lives with scripture and try to discuss a game plan on how to lead our family into a love relationship with God in every area of our lives.
Please say a quick prayer for us and for God to remove any barriers or distractions that could hinder us from renewing our spirits in Christ.
